“We had 4 days and 3 nights at the Comanche Cabin. April 2025. I can't describe in words home beautiful the Canyon view was from our cabin. The cabin itself was awesome, the furnishings, decor, etc. This all was only topped by the hospitality of the Host business. Ms Lyndsay (spell my be wrong) was our POC, A charming lady, full of energy and ready to serve. She made sure our stay was the best she could provide! I would highly recommend this team for anyone's vacation!”

“Loved comanche cabin, right on palo duro canyon. Close to everything. The cabin had everything you would need. We had an issue with the grill, but it was operator error, they came out in 30 minutes and showed me what I was doing incorrectly. Make sure you make time to sit and enjoy the canyon views. Sunrise is worth getting up for. Cooking is easy here, but if you don't want to d that at least get something for breakfast. They have a regular coffee pot and a kureg with a few to get you started. The town of canyon is only about 15 minutes so we did that for most meals. They also have quite a few games and cards you can play while you are there. The cabin sleeps 7, 3 big beds and a roll away. You could also probably put someone on the coach if really wanted. We had us and our 2 adult children so they each had theor own room which was nice. The laundry was nice big washer and dryer and they provide pods. Overall it was a great trip. So glad we choose this cabin!”

“Our cabin was perfect size for our family. The house was well equipped with cookware plates and a few spices. The propane grill was clean to make our steaks on the back porch and the back porch was our favorite spot to eat ourmeals!! Beautiful view of the escarpment, hot tub, and plenty of seating, Room for the kids to play. The hostess brought us extra blankets and sheets as well as a bottle of champagne to welcome us. We had 3 wonderful nights! This is a great spot to relax after your hike and sit in the hot tub and watch the sunset. We went Mid October, so the weather was great! not too hot or cold and the night sky was full of beautiful stars”

“Location. Tranquil. Luxury. Pet friendly. Seclusion but close to the fun. I stayed at the Phantom cabins (for 1-2 people) this past weekend. I couldn't ask for a more perfect spot for a 48 hr getaway. The "campus" with the other cabins are on a privately owned lot. Swing set and a private lookout area of the canyon, private driveway, all gave it a feel of peace and quiet. There are 5 phantom cabins that are separated by a wooden fence. I enjoyed saying hello to the neighbors watching the beautiful sunrise. The cabin is pet friendly and my dog enjoyed it very much, except for the part where he relieved himself on a small thorny bush. The cabin was super clean on arrival, fully stocked kitchen, bar stools, perfect size bathroom, HUGE TV (perfect to catch March madness games, etc)The location can't be beat. Lastly, I believe the cabins are 1.9 (?) miles to the park and 14 miles to the city of Canyon. If you want to be close to everything, want peace and quiet and a good home base, these cabins are for you and worth the price.”

“My family thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations of the Comanche cabin. This was our first time with Dove's Rest and wasn't sure what to expect. The staff was accessible, responsive, and made us feel at home. The windows of the house allowed such a beautiful view of the canyon - I highly recommend Dove's Rest to anyone considering a visit to the area or the Palo Duro Canyon State Park just minutes down the road. We will definitely be back!”

“I'm giving Comanche and Doves Rest a 5 star rating. It is designed to be really beautiful. The windows, the patio, the view are fantastic. The beds are comfortable. They have little details that really make it an amazing place to stay. It's clean and well cared for. The staff took care of us. HOWEVER: there is a room in Comanche that made us feel uncomfortable. I've not seen anybody review it, but it was disconcerting to us. It seems at odds with the rest of the cabin. We felt so bothered by it, that we didn't use it. I'm not sure what the intention of the room is. The pictures they post of the room do not quite tell the full story. I think people should know.”

“The cabin was amazing! The interior was super clean and new. It was also decorated very nicely. The view out of the front of the cabin was insane! So beautiful, especially in the mornings. Overall, just an awesome place to stay. We loved staying here and definitely plan on doing so again in the future!”
